Good writing is about getting your message across in a clear and interesting way.

How can I help you?

I can help you clarify and craft your message.

I generally work with texts for or about the education sector. I have written – among other things – student-friendly textbooks, formal reports, academic grant applications, process manuals, marketing collateral, blog posts, website copy, profile pieces and feature articles. I have edited all of the above and more.

Don't believe the old myth that good writing can't be taught. It's not magic, it's knowledge.

How can I help you?

I can teach you how to write and edit more effectively.

Some people are daunted by the idea of writing or editingworkshops because they consider themselves 'bad at grammar' or they fear an interrogation from the punctuation police. My workshops focus on dispelling two common myths: writing is not an unteachable gift and English is not all about grammar.

Sometimes you want the advice of an expert without a crowd of curious onlookers.

How can I help you?

I can be your personal writing coach.

When educators write, people expect every sentence to be grammatically perfect and eloquently constructed; however, few have the time or training to achieve this. As a writing coach, I work with educational leaders to help them develop their own authentic writing voice, and to convey their ideas clearly and accurately.

Being a good editor is about more than technical precision.
A good editor is a critically thinking, flexible, knowledgeable and compassionate collaborator.
